The TASB Board Effectiveness Audit has a New Look and Name
The TASB Board Effectiveness Audit is being replaced by Effective Board Practices: An Inventory for School Boards (pdf). This new tool includes many of the same features as the Audit and also contains some improvements that will make it easier for your board-superintendent team to become more successful by focusing on specific actions in the areas of planning and governance, oversight of management, board-superintendent team operations, and advocacy.
The Inventory also contains Suggested Methods for Discussing Results. This document will assist your team in having a conversation about the Inventory and determining the next steps for improvement.
The information about the Audit found on this page will remain for several months as we fully phase in the Inventory information.
