
As some of you may know, recent legislation has passed requiring school districts to establish a long range energy plan to reduce the consumption of electricity. This bill is in accordance with HB 3693 and its goal to reduce a districts usage by five percent each year for six consecutive years.
SB 300 requires the district's energy plan to achieve these savings, if possible, without cost to the district. These are considered behavioral adjustments. If the strategy does require a financial cost to the district, the board must consider the total net costs and savings that may occur over the seven year period following the implementation of the strategy.

Earthquakes Rock Small Texas Towns
North Texas is dealing with its fair share of seismic activity—Cleburne felt its sixth earthquake in less than a month. In fact, there have been more recorded earthquakes here since October than in the last 30 years combined. These sudden and unusual geological events have residents and officials perplexed.
