Good News about Texas Public Schools

 If you've arrived at this page with a bit of skepticism, no one can blame you. The media tend to focus on negative stories coming out of Texas public schools, and, after awhile, it's easy to believe that there is no good news.

TASB wants its members and the public to take heart and be proud: Our public schools are producing successful students, supporting great teachers, and being recognized with honors at the state and national level.

For several years now, summer issues of Texas Lone Star have been dedicated to spreading the good word. A few of those articles are reprinted here, along with an inspirational piece about challenging conventional wisdom.
