Jacqueline Lain, Associate Executive Director

Jacqueline "Jackie" Lain is the Associate Executive Director of TASB Governmental Relations. As head lobbyist for TASB, Jackie is responsible for developing and executing the association's legislative strategy and facilitating member involvement in the legislative advocacy process.

An assistant director of the TASB governmental relations division from 1996 to 1999, Jackie left to join the White House Fellows program and later served as the program's director of public relations and interim director.

Jackie most recently worked at the Standard and Poor's School Evaluation Services division as director of public affairs from 2001 to 2006, when she returned to TASB.

A graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and the UT Law School, Lain practiced school law at Walsh, Anderson, Brown, Schulze and Aldrige in Austin from 1994 to 1996.
