Goode Reelected to Statewide Association Board

(Austin) – The Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) has reelected James Goode of Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD to a two-year term on the TASB Board of Directors, representing TASB Region 10B.
Goode, who has served on his local board nine years, is vice-president of engineering with Applied Data Sciences. He currently serves on the executive board of the Farmers Branch Chamber of Commerce and chairs its Education Committee. In addition, Goode chairs the Chamber’s Educational Foundation and City of Farmers Branch Tax Increment Finance Committee and serves on the Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD Educational Foundation. Previously he served on the Town North YMCA Board of Management. Goode attended the University of Texas (UT) at Austin and UT-Dallas, and has earned bachelor and master degrees.
TASB is a nonprofit organization established in 1949 to serve local Texas school districts. School board members are the largest group of publicly elected officials in the state. The districts they represent serve more than 4.6 million public school students.
