Mary Beth King

Region 10D

King was elected to the Plano ISD Board in 1995 where she has served as president, vice-president and board member. She joined the TASB Board in September 2001.

She is a Leadership TASB graduate and has served on TASB's Legislative Advisory Council and the Delegate Assembly Teller Committee.

King, a Leadership Plano alumna, has served as president, vice-president, and treasurer of the North Texas Area Association of School Boards. She has been awarded a Texas PTA Life Membership, Collin County Volunteer of the Year in Education, and Plano Bar Association's Liberty Bell Award, and was a finalist for the JC Penny Golden Rule Award in Education in 1993. King has served as president of the Plano Council of PTAs, member of Region 10 Superintendent of the Year Selection and Texas of the Year Selection committees, legislative chair of District 10 PTA Council Board, member of the Collin County Community College Foundation, vice-chair of the Collin County United Way Board, and chair of the Collin County MH/MR.
